Rise Of The Revenants

Chapter 1: The beginning of the end 

Tech College December 26, 2021 12:00pm  

It was a regular day in Tech College, Lui was at his class checking on his phone. The teacher, Mr. heartland turned to look at what Lui was doing and saw that he was on his phone. Mr. Heartland stops his lecture.  

Mr. Heartland: "Consider yourselves lucky, some teacher don’t go through what they have taught on the past semester, so I hope you are writing all of this done. Now you all know what the grand staff looks like right?"  

Lui keeps looking down at his phone.  

Mr. Heartland: "Lui if you are going to keep looking at your phone please get out of my class."  

Mr. Heartland goes towards the door and opens it for Lui directing him to the exit.  

Mr. Heartland: "Get out Lui!"  

           Lui packs his things in his bag, as everyone turns to him. Suddenly Ms. Linda from Class 2A shows up. Mr. Heartland turns startled.  

Mr. heartland: "Oh hi Ms. Linda did you need anything?"                                  

There is no response from Ms. Linda only that she is standing in a curved manner with her arms down and no emotion. 

Mr. Heartland: "Dear Lord Ms. Linda what happened to you.”  

Mr. Heartland gets a closer look at her arm. It looks like it has been bitten. As Mr. Heartland is closely examining her arm, Ms. Linda attacks Mr. Heartland; biting him. Mr. Heartland screams. As the students are watching this, they gasp. Lui Standing while some students are getting up to see if Mr. Heartland was ok. Ms. Linda keeps attacking Mr. Heartland. Mr. Heartland tries to pull her off but her grasp is to strong, meanwhile some students are trying to pull them off. Other students by now are getting creeped out and start standing, leaving the class. 

Lui- "What are you guys doing get off let go and run!" 

There is a pen drop and all of the sudden the students start running to the door. The class is on the third floor, there are students already running down in panic. Among them some people trip, others get stomped on, there is pure disorder. Lui managed to get down the building and starts running to where he can be safe. He quickly goes inside the bathroom where he can make a call. He thinks that he is safe now and takes out his phone and starts dialing. There is someone being eaten by a zombie. Lui's phone starts dialing as he hears the noise of a person being eaten. Lui suddenly notices he is not the only one in the bathroom. He turns to the stall where the noise is coming from. The door suddenly opens and out comes a zombie leaving the person almost half eaten. Lui screams and punches the zombie on the nose, its head tilts back and the forth. The zombie looks at Lui. Lui drops his backpack and runs off dropping his phone. On his way out he sees Claire struggling to get away from a zombie. She High kicks the zombie on its head and the zombie falls. 

Lui- “Claire!” 

Claire suddenly turns to Lui 

Claire- "Lui!" 

Lui, still running as far away from the zombie asks Claire to go with him. Claire starts running with Lui as she sees the zombie chasing them both. Now there are two more of them chasing both Lui and Claire. All of the sudden Lui stops and tackles one of them and falls along with the other one that was behind him. Claire doesn't stop and keeps running. Lui sees a nearby rock and throws it to one of the zombie's head. The zombie then falls and acts as though it is having a seizure. The other one doesn't stop and keeps chasing Lui. He grabs Lui, Lui screams. Concerned, Claire stop running and goes back pushing the zombie so that it will fall. Once on the ground, Claire stomps on its head. 

Lui- "Nice." 

Claire- "So violent...Anyway, let's go." 

    They both start running again. 

Lui- "This is a workout huh." 

Claire- "Well unless you want to get eaten by one of them, slow down." 

Lui- "I don’t intend on doing so." 

They are both now outside of the school. By now there are more of them running towards them. Both of them go back to the school inside a building where they close the door so that the zombies would not get near them. They go inside one of the classes, now both grasping for air. there are chairs thrown around, blood all over the place, books, papers, chairs, and desks thrown around. 

Lui- “What a party. They are many.” 

Claire- "Yea." 

    Lui looks around and he sees a mop. 

Lui- “ A mop.” 

Claire turns to the direction of the mop. 

    Lui grabs the mop and takes out only the stick with him. 

Claire- “What are we going to do with it?” 

Lui- "Make heads shatter. You dig?" 

Claire giggles. 

Claire- "I dig." 

Lui- “Alright let's go.” 

Claire- “Lui no!” 

Lui- "What's wrong?" 

There are sudden knocks and attacks towards the door. 

Lui- "Oh crap." 

Claire- "What do I do?" 

Lui- "They must have spotted us but how?" 

Claire- "Well there are many of them in different locations of the school." 

Claire- “What are we going to do now?" 

Lui- "Ok let me think." 

Lui stops and thinks for a second. 

Lui- "Ok stay by the door and hold the handle. Do not open it until I say open." 

Claire- " What are you going to do?" 

Lui- "I have a plan just do as I say." 

Claire stays beside the door holding the door knob waiting for Lui to tell her to open it. 

Claire- "Are you sure about this?" 

Lui- "Yes, once I start swinging follow behind me, run as fast as you can." 

Claire- “Adare!” 

Lui- “What about Adare?” 

Claire- “We have to find her.” 

Lui- "Let's look for her later for now let's concentrate on getting out of here. Ready?” 

Claire- "Ready." 

Lui- "Alright. Hana, Dul, set...Now!" 

Claire Opens the door. Lui runs towards them and starts swinging, Claire Follows Lui now. They both run as fast as they can leading towards the exit of the building. The school is now empty, there are no survivors, if there are they are probably hiding from the undead. Claire starts looking around. 

Lui- "What are you doing?" 

Claire- "Trying to see if I can spot Adare." 

Claire yells out adare's name three times but is futile for she is nowhere to be found. Claire then takes out her phone and calls Adare.  

Inside a restroom is Adare. she is fighting off a zombie that is trying to get her. Her cellphone rings. She gets extremely mad and pushes the zombie. As the zombie falls she picks up her phone and puts it on speaker. 

Adare- "Hello." 

The zombie grabs her leg and pulls her towards him, she falls and drops her cellphone. She screams and Claire with the phone already active hears her cream. 

Claire- "Adare! Where are you!? 

There is no response, she can only hear the screaming and struggling. Claire starts to become desperate. 

Claire- "Adare!" 

Meanwhile adare is in a very bad situation, she starts screaming for her life. She then stops screaming an becomes serious. 

Adare- "Fuck this shit." 

    Adare starts kicking in a violent way, she breaks free as she kicked it on the head and lets her go. She then starts beating it carefully not to get attacked. Claire hangs up the phone. 

Lui- “Well what did she say?” 

    Claire runs to the girl’s room. 

Lui- "Where are you going?” 

Claire- “Follow me!” 

    Lui Follows Claire. On their way to the bathroom there are two zombies trying to attack Lui and 

Claire. Lui fights them both of and keeps following Claire. They reach the girl’s bathroom. Inside they don’t heard anything. 

Claire- "Adare are you alright?" 

There is no response. 

Claire- "Adare?" 

They become silent and hear someone crying. Claire checks in one of the bathroom stool and finds Adare crying with blood on her clothes and looks at her with a pitiful expression. Claire goes and holds Adare. 

Claire- “Hey it’s ok now.”  

Adare- "I was so scare I thought I was going to die. Wendy." 

Claire- "What about Wendy?" 

Adare- " She was one of them. We both ran inside this bathroom and she started acting strange." 

Claire- "Wendy? How so?" 

Adare- "So...So I killed her." 

Claire- "How could you?" 

Adare- "She was going to kill me if I didn’t." 

Claire- "Where is she?" 

Adare- "She is lying on the floor." 

Adare whispers 

Adare- " I'm sorry." 

Lui looks at the dead body. 

Lui- "Wendy?" 

But her body wasn’t that of a normal human's. Her skin was very pale almost gray and her eye color had turned from dark brown to Blood red. Lui turns to Claire. 

Lui- "Can I Borrow your phone?" 

Claire- "Sure." 

Lui Makes a phone call to him mother. 

Ms. Spira- “Lui? Son are you ok?” 

Lui- “Mom? Yes I’m ok. What is going on?” 

Ms. Spira- “I dont know son where are you?” 

Lui- "I am still at school where are you?” 

Ms. Spira- “Get out of school. I am here at the office. Things are becoming...not normal.” 

Lui- "Mom you shouldn't be at the office.” 

Ms. Spira- “Its complicated to get out of here. Those creatures are trying to come inside. I locked the door and put furniture in front so they won't be able to open the door." 

All of the sudden Lui starts shedding tears. 

Lui- "Mom." 

Ms. Spira- "Yes son?" 

Lui- "I love you." 

In the other line, Ms. Spira stops and starts shedding tears. Lui knows he might not see his mother ever again. 

Ms. Spira- "We'll see each other again soon, I love you to." 

Ms. Spira- “I’ll call you later son.” 

Lui- "Mom don’t hang up.” 

    She has already hang up. 

Claire- " what happened?" 

Lui- "they got to her." 

Claire- "I'm sorry." 

    Claire feels bad for Lui. 

Lui- "it's ok." 

Lui's head is down, he rises in such rage. 

Lui-  " We have to kill all these bastards!" 

 Lui exits the bathroom, he kills the first zombie he sees. He then gets at other two zombies and kills them. Claire and Adare stand up and exit the bathroom. To their surprise, they find Lui fighting off and killing zombies. 

Claire- “Lui!” 

 Lui doesn't stop, he keeps going. Both Adare and Claire Look at Lui with a sad expression. 

Lui- "I won’t let you live!!! Die!!! 

Lui is now done taking his rage out. 

Lui- "Let’s get out of here.” 

They walk towards the ext.Outside they see cars all over the place and people being attacked, screaming and crying. There is a dog running towards Lui. It looks like as if it is going to attack them. The dog tackles Lui, he falls as Adare and Claire Help him back up. Clair Grabs lui's stick and takes a swing at the dog.The dog looks carnivorous and mad and heads back towards them trying to bite them. This dog is not no ordinary dog, it is a revenant dog. Claire takes more swings at it. After she is finished with the dog she sees there are five more zombies coming their way. 

Claire- “Aigoo!” 

There are shots fired, unto the five zombies. Claire opens her eyes and sees the zombies unresponsive, she turns and she sees Draco. Draco is a young man in his early 20s. Wearing blue jeans, white shirt with a blue jean jacket on top. He is pale as, with his skin so flawless it looks as though he was using some sort of cream to get rid of any facial marks, he has dark mid long hair combed to one side. 

Claire- “Who... who....Who are you?” 

Draco walks towards Claire. He gives his hand to her. 

Draco- "You are very much welcome." 

Lui- "Draco?” 

Draco- “Those Archery lessons weren't for nothing.” 

Lui- "Nice aim, you kills all five, I'm impressed." 

Lui gets up. Claire turns to Lui. 

Claire- “You know him?” 

Lui- "Off course I do.” 

Claire and Adare introduce themselves to Draco. 

Claire- “We should get out of here.” 

Draco- “Agreed.” 

Adare- “But where to?” 

Lui- "Let’s go to my house.” 

Adare- “Why?” 

Lui- "I am hungry as fuck.” 

Adare- "There are stores around you know." 

Lui- "Yea but what if there are  a million of them inside?" 

Adare- “Ok.” 

All four of them start walking. Two blocks before Gothi’s house they stop. 

Adare- “How much longer? I am getting tired.” 

Lui- "We are almost there just two more blocks and we are there." 

They keep walking towards Lui’s house. Now they have arrived to his house. There are zombies trying to get into his  house. There is a scream coming from inside.  

Lui- "Oh my god! there is someone inside.” 

 Lui and Draco Move in to fight the zombies. Draco shoots the zombies on the head. 

Draco- “Aim for the head!” 

 Lui hits the zombies on the head so hard so that they will die. Draco keeps shooting the zombies. Claire and Adare are just standing back. 

Adare- “What are we to do?” 

Claire- “Here.” 

Claire starts searching around the place. She finds a broom and a mop; she grabs them, as she is grabbing them she doesn’t notice a zombie coming at her. The zombie tries to bite her, she screams. Draco notices the zombie trying to attack Claire and shoots it in  the head. Claire stands in shock. 

Draco- “Hey! Hurry we could use some help!” 

Claire- “Ok! Who does he think he is ordering me around like that?” 

 Claire takes one of the broom stick and hands it over to Adare, she then breaks the sweep. 

Claire- “Ok this should do.” 

    Claire and Adare join Lui. Draco is still firing shots. He is out of ammo. 

Draco- “Well it was fun while it lasted.” 

    He throws the gun at one of the zombies, it falls as Claire and Adare beat it in the head with the sticks. There are two zombies left until they kill them all and open the door. Lui goes inside. 

Lui- “Hello!” 

    The house is an apartment with two rooms and a wide living room. The furniture has been thrown around, some stuff have been broken, there is blood around the room. 

Lui- "Anyone here? We heard you scream! are you alright!” 

Claire- “Come out now! we mean no harm!” 

    There is still no response. 

Lui- "Well if there is no one here then I guess we should just leave.” 

Adare- “I thought we were going to staying here.” 

Lui- "Not with this kind of bullshit we are not.” 

Claire- “So what are we suppose to do.” 

There is a sudden movement. They stay on alert, There is a little girl who comes out. 

Claire- “Are you ok?” 

The little girl has a bite on her arm. 

Draco- “Be careful.” 

Tabatha - “Am I going to become one of them?” 

Claire puts her hand on the little girl's shoulder. 

Claire- "I... I don’t know." 

Lui- "Who are you?" 

Adare- "Why do you say that?" 

Tabatha- "I saw my mom get bitten by one and then she became one." 

Lui- "Where is she now?" 

She points out at one of the zombies. 

The little girl starts crying. 

Tabatha- “I want my mom… please don’t kill me just yet.””  

Claire- “I haven’t the heart to do so.” 

Lui- "Let’s go.” 

All of them exit, as they are on their way to the door, Tabatha suddenly turns to a zombie and starts screaming. This startles Lui and the rest. She starts running towards them trying to bite them. Gothi swings at her head so hard that it came off. The body falls. Lui and leave. 

Claire- “Well we just started.’” 

 Adare- “It’s us vs them...This is going to be a long ride.”
